Hi, I want to make a cylinder mappable as given in Fig 3-55 of the modeling guide of gambit, however i can not make any head and tails how to do it. First i splitted the end caps using real connected points(virtual connected points removes the side surface) to create two real edges. Then i tried to split the side surface using the end cap real edge with the 'split face->edges virtual' option but gambit returns 'Attempted to split face xxx(side face) using edge xxx(splitted edge of end cap) which is already a boundary of the face' I have tried all tries of edge splits on caps, making a line on the side face to split etc. but couldnt get the side face to split. I will be very thankful if you can provide me a solution.

Thanks Rajil
