semi-transparent wall

Hi Friends, I am using Discrete ordinates model for my radiation heat transfer problem. I have one semi transparent wall. If i specify a medium as semi-transparent, how will FLUENT calculate the fraction of transimissivity? (i.e how will it calculate the fraction of radiation passing through)

say, radiation source is inside a box. and i have to analyse 2 cases: (both cases, face 1 is same material) case (i) face 1 allows 95% light to pass through case (ii) face 1 allows only 20% light to pass through how do i simulate the two cases? i mean, where will be the difference in transmissivity be fed??

Thanks in advance Trilok
