gauge pressure and operating pressure?

What it is understood for "gauge pressure"?

For incompressible flow which must be the operating pressure? Waiting reply more soon possible I say farewell myself

better compliments,

Re: gauge pressure and operating pressure?

gauge pressure=absolute pressure-atmospheric pressure dont confuse with total pressure=static pressure+dynamic pressure

thnks

Re: gauge pressure and operating pressure?

Hi!

Your sistem (absolute) pressure is equal to gauge + operationg pressure. It is good for convergence to set operating pressure to the mean value of absolute pressure ((p_abs_min+p_abs_max)/2).
