Default Writing Gambit Macros

I have written a macro that converts a 3d model in a 2d model, by splitting the volume and copying faces. However, I'm left with a lot of unwanted faces. Is there a way I can select "all other faces" except the face I want?

Also is there anyway to use "groups" in source functions? I have grouped a set of edges that I want to use in the source function, and want to automate this process.

Cheers.
