3D model with gambit

hi

i am trying to learn fluent and gambit. i am trying to study a flow over a cube. i have already modelised and studied the case with a cube with sharp edges and i would like to see the difference compared to a cube with round edges. i have created a cube with round edges, then a rectangle that i extended in volume. then i substract the two volume. my problem is in meshing. i don't know how to mesh the volume.

if someone could help me, that would be great

thanks

hi,

I couldn't undrestand the shape that you have created, but you can easily select all volumes and create mesh,no matter what is your volume. If you have basic problem in meshing let me know.

good luck ,Soody.

Just use simply volume mesh command, as there is only 1 volume is formed after substract the two volume if u want to have basic idea in meshing, just strat with volume mesh without doing edge and face mesh

read the following gambit tutorial

MODELING A COMBUSTION CHAMBER (3-D)

at

http://www.fluentusers.com/gambit2/d...guide/tg04.htm

you will need username and pwd for access.

see how they create mesh in figure 4-3

that will solve your problem !

Go and start to do cooper meshing. It is good for volume mesh. u need to select a face as a source .

It works........I believe
