gambit model problem

hi

i have some trouble to mesh my 3D model with gambit (my model is a little bit complicated to explain but i can send it by email). the error message says something like: "Initialization failed; perturb boundary nodes and try again. Initialization failed to mesh 7 nodes. ERROR: TG_mesh_Domain failed with error code 1. ERROR: tetrahedral meshing has failed for volume volume 1." i have tried to mesh directly the volume, but also faces separatly and then mesh the volume, but there is still some problem.

if someone can help me, should be nice thank you yann yann.r@ifrance.com

Re: gambit model problem

Hi,

If the cell sizes are very different at different faces, or if you have sliver surfaces, having quad mesh on faces when using tgrid, or similar problems may lead you to this error message. Try to decompose your geomety into "better-meshable" sub-volumes and control your mesh. You could see the origin of the error by this way..
