flow in a skinny tube

I got a nasty problem needs your kind help -- I am trying to simulate flow in a very skinny tube. The length of the tube to the diameter of the tube is around 5000. It is virtually impossible to draw such a domain for computational purpose. Do you have any good ideas to handle with this problem?

Thank you all in advance!

Re: flow in a skinny tube

Is it just a tube? Have you considered a periodic flow? I haven't used one but I know they are used for repetitive instances. Section 8.3 of the FLUENT 6.0 manual might help.

Cheers, Tim.
