hello my friends
i am simulating a free surface flow in a 180 degree open channel that has a leteral intake as a junction channel in the sec. 40 degree. the main channel has straight channels before the inlet and after the outlet. at the end of the flow domain, there is a triangular wier that regulates the water height. but the intake channel works as a free over fall and there is no control at the end of this channel. so, we have the discharges passing from the end of these channel. for this problem i used tow big closed tanks at the end of each channels that B.C of top of this thank is pressure inlet and set the height of the water above the wier at the end of the main channel (regarding to passing discharge). using this B.C the water surface haven't reaches a steady state and it take at least 5 days. are the used Boundary conditions true? 2- |
