Mesh

Hi all,

i am a new cfd user, i want to know is there any "rule of thumb" for fine grid generation. Sometimes i do not know how fine should i do for the mesh/grid in order to give gd accuracy.

Can anyone give me some advice?

Thank all

Okie there is grid independence condition. The fineness of the grid depends on hit and trial attempts in the sense for instance u have carried the simualtions for say 100 cells but if u do the same set of clacualtions for 200 cells then u will see a change in ur solution since it might hae not yet been gird indpendent. so u have to keep doing till u see that even if u change the grig 10000 u get the same solution. In practical situations to do so u must have good computational capbilities and at the same time in mutliphase flows it is difficult to attain. I hope it helps! Podila
