Points and face in gambit

Hi,
Is it possible to create a 3D face (in fact it must represent the ground around mountains) in gambit 2.0 only with points which don't have the same altitude ? Thank's |

yes
select three points and create face. after creating face on all points, merge them. Hope this help! |

Thank's mukkarum,
but my file contain about 1e+6 point ! And above all, they don't are organized in a regula grid, so I just wanted to know if it wasn't possible to "automatise" the creation of my face. bye |

Hi,
I think u r using revers engineering, and getting points from laser scanner. Image viewer is best to fit a face on a number of points. I think first create face in any other software and then import .igs format in gambit. If you can, send the .dbs file to me. I would try with somedifferent softwares. You can also contact to fluent support to create face directly in gambit. Thanks Mukkarum |

I have developped a code in C which reorganize my points in a regular grid. Then I have linked all the nodes 3 per 3 creating polygons...and now, it works
