Default FACE MACROS FOR PRESSURE

Hello All

I am trying to solve for a compressible flow with pressure inlet BC

The user manual says that total pressure should be input in the inlet BC for pressure in the case of compressible flows

My inlet velocity varies with time and hence I plan to write a UDF to define total pressure BC at inlet.

For this I am doing the following

P_BC = P_static + 0.5 * density * velocity*velocity

T_BC = T_static + velocity * velocity / Cp

To access the pressure and temperature on face of boundary the manual gives the macro

F_P(f,t) and F_T(f,t) --- Is this pressure and temperature outputted by solver to UDF static pressure and temperature or total pressure and temperature? Because this affects the way i formulate my formula above

Please let me know

Thank you

Sandilya

I am pretty sure (same like you are pretty) that F_P(f,t) is macro accessing static pressure.

Ħque lo pases bien!

Yep, F_P is for static pressure (relative to operating pressure)
