To add new sepcies, I had to add properties of

new spiceis to thermo.db , propdb.scm, and

thermodb.scm file.

However, I don't know the properties that are used

in Fluent. For example, following are the properties

used in Fluent.

(carbon (combusting-particle inert-particle) (chemical-formula . c) (density (constant . 2000)) (specific-heat (constant . 1220)) (vaporization-temperature (constant . 400)) (boiling-point (constant . 400)) (binary-diffusivity (constant . 4e-05)) (volatile-fraction (constant . 0)) (combustible-fraction (constant . 1)) (swelling-coefficient (constant . 1)) (emissivity (constant . 0.9)) (scattering-coefficient (constant . 0.5)) (burn-stoichiometry (constant . 2.67)) (burn-hreact (constant . 32789000)) (burn-hreact-fraction (constant . 0.3)) (combustion-model (diffusion-limited . #f) (kinetics/diffusion-limited 5e-12 0.002 79000000) (intrinsic-model 5e-12 0.030198 1.794e+08 0.5 6e-08 300000 1.4142136 0)) (formation-entropy (constant . 157994.97)) )

(carbon-solid fluid (chemical-formula . c<s>) (specific-heat (constant . 1220)(polynomial piecewise-polynomial (300 1000 -464.17822 4.9711663 -0.0038992118 1.4829381e-06 -2.8855555e-10) (1000 5000 1031.5207 1.150554 -0.00046290062 8.9357071e-08 -6.372102e-12))) (molecular-weight (constant . 12.01115)) (formation-enthalpy (constant . -101.268)) (reference-temperature (constant . 298)) (formation-entropy (constant . 0.5731747e+04))

)

where can I find such properties of other species ??

If you know good web site for that chemimcal properties, tell me.

There are not all species in Fluent drop-down menu.

The speceis that I need is not included in Fluent.

So I add the properties of new species to Fluent.

The DIPPR database is a good source for data on a wide variety of species. Also if you have access to a university library they may have the following reference: Daubert, T.E., Danner, R.P., Physical and Thermodynamic properties of Pure Chemicals: data compiliation, Hemisphere, 1989. The CRC handbook of Chemistry and Physics is also a good place to check.
