Hello,

Aside from simulation-time can "extreme" under-relaxation have an impact on the accuracy of the solution?

Yes, an extreme under-relaxation has an effect on the solution. If you under-relax too much, you risk to have false convergence, which brings to "false" solutions.

Sorry, I don't know a paper which talk about the problem of "false convergence". It has been presented to me during a course I attended to.

However, a book which covers under-relaxation techniques should be of help.
