Help on activation of V2F model in Fluent 6.1

Hi, I wanna use the V2F model in Fluent 6.1 to simulate flow with separation. Does anybody know how to use it? I have asked for help from our technical support about 1 week ago but they still did not response. Can you help me? Thank you very much! Zhihua

hi.

the v2f model is add-on functionality offered at an additional cost. licenses may be purchased from Fluent Inc. please contact your sales rep for more details.

the v2f model is available in FLUENT versions 6.1.18 and later.

type the scheme command

(allow-v2f-model)

in the text interface, and V2F button will be activated in the viscous GUI panel.

regards,

eric.

Hi Eric,

Thank you very much for you help. My version of Fluent is 6.1.22. However, when I typed allow-v2f-model in Fluent. It shows "invalid command". Could you help me again? What is scheme command? Is it just one command that I could type under the ">" in Fluent?

Thanks again!

Zhihua

hi, zhihua.

did you include the parentheses ( ) when you typed the command? it is necessary to include these as well.

it is just one command typed at the ">"

(allow-v2f-model)

please let me know if you have further trouble.

eric.
