3D post-processing

Hello. I was hoping that someone could help me?! I am running a 3D transonic wing and I need to plot pressure distributions over the wing at various span locations, BUT I can't find how to generate a plot of any specific z location (ie. I can only plot the results over the whole wing at once), and I have found that manually inputting data points is inaccurate. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Natalie

Maybe you can creat some z-direction lines in Surface---Line/Rake panel and then plot the parameters you want in the XY-Plot panel with selecting these line for Surfaces.

Re: 3D post-processing

Use the Iso-surface function in the surface menu. This will enable you create surfaces of constant Grid--> z-coordinate from your wing surface. You can then use the xy-plot to plot the pressure distribution across the surfaces created. You can alsouse Iso-Clip to seperate the upper and lower surfaces of the wing.

Hope this helps

Use a rake (and not line). In that way you can create any length with any number of points and get whatever results you need on that line (rake).
