Give Fluent a call they should be able to sort the problem out. You'll need to quote you license No.!

hei I solve this pb : is was a DISPLAY variable which has to be set to the name of the computer. Now when I run gambit with gambit -new I have this (a sesseion of exceed is open): Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C Warning: X locale modifiers not supported, using default
Using X_DEVICE_DRIVER with standard visual. Received X Intrinsics Warning <translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfActivate>. Received X Intrinsics Warning <... found while parsing ':<Key>osfActivate: PrimitiveParentActivate()'>. ................. followed big a long list of same warning , then this: ................. ERROR(TuConvert) Conversion of 'windows_user2.xpm:String' to 'Pixmap' failed ERROR(TuConvert) Conversion of 'sash_delta.xbm:String' to 'Pixmap' failed ERROR(TuConvert) Conversion of 'windows_user1.xpm:String' to 'Pixmap' failed ERROR(TuConvert) ................... which ended up by this : FATAL ERROR: Could not initialize ACIS. Is anybody know where this come from ? Thanks Pascal |

My suggestion is to be patient, Gambit is - as the name implies - a roll of the dice. If it works it works fine, but it might just as well give you gray hairs. It is a classical example of the save-or-cry rule.
Call Fluent support about your particular problem. |

Hi Sam,
I have this problem of how to run Exceed before launch Gambit. I installed the "Typical installation" and followed all the steps as monkey without doing anything. Now, what I want is to access my own computer to launch Gambit. I guess I have to give my computer a name or something so I can access it through Exceed and then launch Gambit, right? Anyone knows how? Thanks a lot beforehand. Ivan. |
