Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a CFD software capable of simulating the following situation:

Air is flowing through a closed channel that is intersected by another channel, through which water is flowing. If air velocity is high, it will drag water, increasing its velocity, and maybe forming droplets.

Do you think it would be possible to simulate this problem in Fluent?

Thanks,

Ya, its possible in Fluent. There is one tutorial also mentioned in the manual.

Also look into methodolgy of Multiphase modelling in Fluent.

you won't be able to see the droplets if you want to do that, only a difusse water concentration in the air stream that will depends in the fluids flowrates, maybe I'm wrong (I have a little expirience with fluent) and with a very very fine mesh you could do it but I doubt it, more comments????
