creating real face from a wireframe

Howdy y'all!

I'm having some trouble with tangency at the intersection of two edges in my GAMBIT model.

Imagine a wireframe made up of two circular edges interconnected by a third, somewhat straight line. This setup is not unlike a coke can (pardon the product placement).

As the modeling guide specifies, if two edges meet with tangent continuity, a face won't be created. I've connected my two circles using the "NURBES"-option which yields this problem.

Thanks in advance

Try split the two circular edges in half and creating two real faces, which you should then be able to unite.

Or

Create a cylindrical volume

Cheers Mark! It worked like a charm.

It seems like a few people checked your reply out. To them I'd like to clarify that I made two semicylinders and united them into a single one.

Just thought that would be relevant information...
