sir,

i'm working on combustor and i have taken 60 degree sector with swirler. during assigning a boundary conditions, i gave periodicity to swirler which is in interface with combustor inlet.when it is read in fluent, i am not able to create interface zone (swirler outlet with combustor inlet) and error comes with message"degenerated faces",is there any problem during assigning periodicity or model.please help!

i think, the problem is perhaps not the periodicity BC. Perhaps is the grid of interface.

hi, have you solved your problem? If still not, perhaps the following can help you. Please expecially pay attention to two points: 1.please correctly set the rotation axis in fluid zone, if rotate 2. have you correctly set the periodic BC, if you use the periodic BC and the fluid rotate

if you have correctly set the BC, but it still don't work. Then check up if the two interface have the same geometry. Regards, Annie

hi!

i tried in fluent and error "degenerated faces" is displayed every time.so, i imported to CFX via TGrid and it is working very well. please suggest, why fluent is not considering this mesh. thanking you, prashant S.S
