Insulation at the 2 walls of a channel

Hello all,
When I remove insulation (I gave values to heat flux), the temp of flow along a 2 walls channel increases. How come the temp is not decreasing since insulation is removed and the heat can escape? How can i model a conjugate heat transfer in the channel?(ie heat conduction thru' the wall and convection along the interior of the channel) Hope someone can help me. Thanks. |

If your heat flux has a positive value (heat into the system), the temperature will increase in the area where the heat flux is the source. If your heat flux is negative, this will cause the temperature in the region to drop.
If you model a heat flux at the wall and have the energy equation turned on, and all your material properties are correct, fluent will take care of the temperature distribution for you. |
