Hi!

I am facing the problem that already occured on Forum in Nov. I am trying to model the honeycomb straightener in a cavitation tunnel (let say from the point of view of losses only). I have read carefully Fluent UG and browsed Idelchik but I cannot get the answer how to estimate "Face permeability" especially expressed in [m2] as the Fluent needs (alfa).

I am not sure may I use the formula 6.19-6 (UG) which is dedicated to packed bed – in my case the holes diameter (of 20mm vs 1mm of side thickness) is relatively large. Thanks for any help in advance!

Michal
