Moving connected volumes in Gambit

Hi guys, I promise to stop asking all these questions!

I have a rectangular block volume, with an inner volume subtracted from it.

My question is if it is possible to rotate or move that inner cut-out volume relative to the outer block - and NOT to have to rebuild all the faces and volume again.

I tried to do it, but it moves or rotate the whole block instead.

It's a solid model. Once you subtract that inner volume, it no longer exists. It's like a hole in a washer... can't move the hole without moving the washer.

The only way you can get around this is to save the model just before you cut out the smaller volume from the larger one. Then, each time you want to move the inner volume you would go back to this file, move the volume, subtract it, and re-mesh.

Gambit also comes with some info on Parametric modeling. It has to do with modifying the journal file and re-running it. This might be helpful to you too.

Hope this helps, and goodluck Jason
