Bifucation in Gambit

I'm modelling interesection/bifurcation with Fluent. Can anyone advise me on how to model (in 3D) a simple pipe that splits into two smaller pipes, such that the combined cross sectional area of the two smaller pipes is equal to that of the larger one?

Any help would be apreciated.

Thanks

Re: Bifucation in Gambit

I knew a colleague who was working on flow in the trachea to the lungs, which is what I assume you are doing as that is the only time I ever heard the word Bifucation used. He ended up using autocad to draw three regular pipes and then used a specific autocad function to blend them together. He then imported the geometry into Gambit. As for the specifics of how to do this I can't really help you. Sorry.

Hope this helps you somewhat.
