Fuel Tank Sloshing

Hi all,

Has any one worked on sloshing in fuel tanks, due to sudden acceleration of the automobile. If yes could you give me some reference or a Fluent Tutorial that describes how this could be handled.

Thnx in advance Saurav

hi there is a tutorial: fuel tank sloshing, in that tutorial the tank undergoes an ac celeration of 9.81m/s^2 in the positive x direction, after after 1.5 sec the acceleration stops and only gravity in the -Z direction acts on the liquid in the tank. in that tutorial they work on the gravity force and than acting on the journal file they change the gx force to zero. if u need any trips about that u can conctact me ciao

Fuel Tank Sloshing UDF

Hi

I want to solve Fuel Tank Sloshing with fluent tutorial, but when I follow tutorial steps, at the end, after run calculation, "fluid doesn't move!" would you help me?
I think I should write zone motion UDF, isn't it ? Do I need ON dynamic mesh ?
How can move the fluid (kerosene) ??

Thanks in advance
