Hi!

I would be grateful if anyone can help me with a little UDF-writing since I have almost no knowlage of this my self. Iam simulating a flow in 2D with Fluent and I want a UDF that reads the values for the velocity field in y-direction in my whole computional domian and saves them in a txt-file. I need these values in a file so I can evaluate them with a different program such as MATLAB.

You can use the micro function of DEFINE_ADJUST, and get F_V(f,t). I think it maybe help for you resolve the problem. Good luck

"Why don't you export a profile file ?"

Thanks

I did not know that you could save data in that way. It is rather a "rough" method but it saves me alot of time since Iam not so used to UDF-making.

Thanks again people for your help and I must say that I really like this forum...
