Dynamic Mesh Needed?
Hi people!
I'm quite confused about the set up of my problem. WOuld appreciate some advice please. The flow scenario goes like this. 1. I have a small filter that's fixed in place within a vertical cylinder (attached to the wall). 2. The cylinder rotates about 2 axes - it spins about the vertical axis and tumbles about the horizontal axis. 3. The cylinder has an inlet and outlet. I need to study the flow within the filter as it rotates together with the cylinder. This is an unsteady flow problem, as I have an inlet and outlet flow together with the rotation of the cylinder. Now, do I really need to set up a dynamic mesh problem? Or can I just simply set rotation about the two axes in the boundary conditions and leave it at that? I need to look at the flow within the filter as the cylinder rotates. Thanks a million! Harmeet. |
