Default porous jump boundary condition

Hallo

The Fluent User Guide says that "porous jump conditions" are used to model a thin "membrane" that has known velocity/pressure-drop characteristics. However, when I use the "porous jump conditions" as the boundary condition on wall (as the thin membrane), it doesn't work.

Does anybody know why?

A porous jump condition is an internal boundary condition... it needs fluid domain on both sides of the BC. I might be misunderstanding your problem statement, but this sounds like what's wrong.

Hope this helps, and goodluck, Jason
