UDF for moving mesh

Hi there,

I am working with the bluff body in free flow. Now, i want to model the free vibration of bluff body due to the vortex formation. For that purpose, i want to define a UDF which would calculate only verticle diplacement from the lift force calculated in previous step. Do any body know some usefull udf example for such a case. Thanks in advance. sawa

Re: UDF for moving mesh

Hi Sawa, You can use the UDF "valve.c" in the tutorial "Using Dynamic Mesh" in the online help. It calculates for each time step, the pressure force on a piston and compares it with a spring force. This difference is twice integrated for getting the piston's displacement. You can adjust for your calculation... it should work! mAx
