Biomass Downdraft Gasifier modeling

I am a student working on a biomass downdraft gasifier system.

I just want some help in developing a model in Fluent to study the combustion and the producer gas of the gasifier.

Would be grateful if someone can help me in this regard.

Thank in advance

Re: Biomass Downdraft Gasifier modeling

I developed a model for a char-coal gasification in a cocurrent upward stream. I use fluent 6.2.16 and the following models: seg-impl. solver, realizable k-e, species transport and reaction (volumetric and particle surface) with finite-rate EDC chemistry, P1-radiation model and the discrete phase model (with multiple surface reactions). particle reaction rates are calculated by an udf using experiental data for our coal. The most important reactions are: C(s)+CO2-->2CO;C(s)+H2O-->H2+CO;CO+H2O<-->CO2+H2(including backward reaction) preditcted gas qualites and c-conversion rates are close to our experimental values and we consider using the model for further reactor design.
