vaporization and Material removal

Hai fluent users

can any one give idea for my laser cutting problem.

wheather it is possible to remove the material(vaporization) by applying heat.

Actually beyond certain temperature all the materials will start to vaporize. Can this vaporization be modelled in fluent.

Thanks in advance

As far as I know, vaporization can be simulated by Fluent, using UDF.

I have a friend working on a similar problem. Laser is a high speed process and hence shock waves can be generated and the schemes available in fluent might dissipate the shock. The best way to solve the problem is using SCM. The best would be ENO schemes with relaxations.
