How can I simulate the combustion using a pdf mixture and, in the same time, the heat transfer between the exhaust hot gases and water through a wall? I ask this because when you have a pdf mixture for non-premixed combustion in Fluent 6.2 you can't use a massflow-inlet of a fluid that isn't a part of the mixture, like liquid water. If there is a solution please let me know! Thank's!

Did not quite get your Question. Can you explain a little more?

You could possibly use the two mixture fraction PDF model, with the second mixture being water. However, it might be better to use the ED model instead.

Hi; To what extend chemistry is important in your case?It is quite better to switch from PDF to EDC if the reduced mechanism is available. Please let me know what sort of fuel are you using for your simulation. Regards
