URGENT; exporting symmetric simulations

Hello,

I used the symmetry boundary condition to simulate 1/4 of a jet instead of a full jet. Now I don't know if it is possible to export data files of the full geometry or not. There is an option in Fluent to let us see the graphic of the whole of a symmetric shape (i.e. Display --> views/Mirror planes), but I have not found anything to permit me to export data files of the full geometry.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks Mahdi

I don't know the direct answer to your question, but; isn't the idea that it is symmetrical, and hence and data you pull off can be duplicated/mirrored as you need (in Excel, if numerical) (Or use FLUENT if its graphical)?

Good luck with whatever you decide,

Docker

Hello, Yes, but the problem is, importing milions numbers in any software is actually impossible or very time consuming. I tried with Matlab and it was really horrible, so I have to do something in the FLUENT.

Fluent doesn't have any way of doing this. Matlab is your best bet (and really horrible is still better than impossible).

Thanks, I think so.

I'm afraid I agree too. MATLAB is the only way. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

All the best, Docker
