With inlet velocity 16.67 m/s, I got static pressure around 169 pa and total pressure 206 pa. What pressure shall I consider as force, which is really acting on antenna, whether static or total(static + dynamic). Please help me

May 19, 2005, 05:45 Re: Pressure force #4 Luca Guest   Posts: n/a Because you're interested in loads, so you need to evaluate the difference betweeen local static pressure and free-stream pressure (coefficient of pressure).Luca

May 19, 2005, 15:52 Re: Pressure force #5 us Guest   Posts: n/a It sounds confusing to me. Isn't it should be total pressure? If only Load consideration then Static pressure is fine. But when it's about pressure force, then there should be total pressure, if the surface where the pressure force is to be considerred is perpendicular to the flow. Luca, can you clarify my doubt?

As I understand you should use static but you have to prepared so fine mesh in boundary to get in first layier dynamic pressure equal 0. please give me notice if you find some thing more?
