I wanted to simulate flow through wool like structure in the muffler of a car. Can we assume wool like structure as a porus wall.Please give me some brief idea to deal with porus wall. Thanks..kamesh

Sure you can. The wall can be defined as porous jump boundary in Gambit. It is important to input correct porous coefficients, which can be obtained from experimental data (pressure drop vs. flow rate). Refer to Chapter 6 in Fluent user manual for details.
