Default Intake Manifold

I am going to simulate an engine intake manifold by fluent. I have only pressure values in inlet and outlet boundaries. Please answer to these questions:

1- These analysis should be compressible or incompressible?

2- Which boundary condition should I have to use?

3- Is pressure inlet and outlet boundary condition enough?

4- Do I need to use 1D software such as wave or GT-Power?

Please introduce me some paper in this area.

Best Regards,

David

Try getting transient boundary condition in GT power model.
First analyse pressure drop across the runners individually consider one open at a time, steady state analysis is good enough. Then try finding mass flow rate of each runner try to keep cylinder to cylinder mass variation less.
Then go for transient analysis take pressure vs crank angle from GT, pressure drop Vs crankangle is your input condition at pressure outlet usual in guage pressure. Inlet will in pressure inlet in atm. pressue
For transient analysis you can import .cas file in transient boundary profile.

I hope this is helpful to you .
