Discretization of Pressure-Velocity coupling
 

Hi

Its a common practise to discretize the pressure-velocity coupling using PISO scheme (and not SIMPLE or SIMPLEC) in VOF formulation. Why do we do so?

I think bcs PISO is better choice in the case of transient simulation as it can offer non iterative solution that is much faster and more accurate in certain cases. -US
