reverse flow at outlet

Dear all,

Does anyone know how fluent deals with reverse flow at a pressure outlet for compressible flow? Is it true that the "pressure outlet" condition switches to become a "pressure inlet" condition, with the specified static pressure specified for the outlet condition being assumed to be the total pressure at the for the inlet condition when the flow is reversed?

Thanks for your help.

Re: reverse flow at outlet

Reverse occured because fluent detect there is a opposite vector in the velocity profile. I suggest if you to extend the outlet to provide more computation domain so that the flow can achieve fully developed flow mode.
