dear all,

I am currently trying to model a 3-d wing in ground effect in wind tunnel conditions. I modelled the wing as half a wing then symmetry-ing it. In order to control the mesh, i divided the control volume into 2; a dense domain around the wing within another larger domain. However, i am having difficulty to get FLUENT to recognize the symmetry plane of the larger domain. It is identified as interior. On the other hand, the symmetry plane of the smaller but denser domain is appropriately recognized.

Any suggestions as to why this happens and any recommendations on how to fix this?

Thank you all in advance
