you will need to record frames for that duration while you are running code. it may however take a lot of memory when done for long durations.

once you have set-up your case file, initialize your solution and go to solve->animate->define menu. in this menu, you will get further options to record your animations using contours or other visualization categories. once you have set your animation preferences, you should start solving. recording will start and messages will be thrown onto the main window.you can also store your animation in a file. there is also an option to minimize screen flicker during recording. you should display minimum data in the main window and also put off any other graphical display when you are running your simulation while recording animation. this avoids un-necessary tax on machine memory. there is also a way to record animation in the background I suppose although you should confirm it from the manual. a complete process will be found in the User-Guide. if you want to see a particular part, then you should first zoom it before starting to solve.
