Default Compressible, turbulent flow in a pressure tube

Dear all,

I am trying to compute air flow through a total-pressure tube with the segregated solver. The flow is compressible (ideal gas law) at Ma=0.26 and turbulent (standard k-e). I am using velocity-inlet and pressure-outlet as boundary conditions. I have set the operating pressure to zero. Unfortunately I cannot get the solution converged. Either I get a divergence detected in pressure correction or the residuals are oszillating. Any suggestions are highly appreciated!

for the second question, you should adjust your grid. hope any help.

Mario,

You cannot use a velocity inlet boundary condition with a compressible fluid. You need to use either mass flow inlet or pressure inlet. If you know the inlet velocity, you can calculate the inlet mass flow ok.
