hi
i am performing a LES aerodynamic flow analysis analysis of passenger medium size car. i completed a steady state realizable K-e flow analysis of 100 iteration. now i am continuing my LES analysis from steady state results. i have used smagoriswky-lilly model and given 0.0003 secs as the time step. in residual plot i get an oscillating curve which is neither diverging nor converging. is this residual plot correct? have any of u performed such a analysis, maybe he/she can share his difficulties faced. since i am bit new to fluent can any one guide me how to make animation of the above analysis. thanks and regards wilson |

If you chose an adequately small time-step size, the solution normally converges within 10 iterations each time step. So, try a smaller time-step size, let's say, 1e-4. If you're using 6.2, try the non-iterative time-advancement (NITA) scheme which can be selected in the "Define/Models/Solver" GUI panel.
