Cell Reynolds number

Hi,

Any thoughts on why 'High Cell Reynolds Numbers' do not overlay on regions of high velocity?

I have a simple flow case, isothermal and incompressible and yet the High Cell Reynolds Numbers are on the boundaries and not overlaying the high velocity of the flow inlet.

Naturally there is shear at the boundaries, yet 'High effective visocity' is also not aligned with the high Cell Reynolds Numbers.

The mesh is uniform and cartesian.

Re: Cell Reynolds number

is effective viscosity low near boundaries/turbulence effect is weakened near boundaries?
