Can someone please help me with this re-occuring problem. When I am using Gambit, quite often the program is terminated internally, ie. something goes wrong and Gambit says it can no longer continue, or any other fatal error. When I attemnpt to open this file again, the following message is returned within the 'Gambit Startup' window.

ERROR: IDENTIFIER "3D Tee - VOF" CURRENTLY OPEN

usage: C:\Fluent.Inc\gambit2.2.30\ntx86\\gambit.exe

-def(aultsfile) file

-dev(ice) X11|XWIN|OPEN(GL)|GL|XGL|SBX|STAR(BASE)

-doc(umentation)

-geom(etry) WIDTHxHEIGHT+X+Y

-font xs|s|l|xl

-help

-id name

-inp(utfile) file (implies batch run and no gui)

-init(file) file (a journal file to run at startup of gui mode)

-new|-old

-proe proe_command

-res(torejournal) file

This has hapenned time and time again and it has wasted many hours of work. I desperately need advice on this. Thankyou.

I have solved the problem by deleting the files ending in '.lok'.

Hi John

That's good. You always have to delete the .lok files. They are lock files.
