Grid reading problem on parallel machine

Problems with FLUENT Cluster

I have problems when opening case files (.cas) that are larger than 4 million cells (approx 0.5Gb). When such files are opened directly after they have been saved, everything seems to be fine. But after a while the file gets corrupted and FLUENT displays an error message The error message reads:

Reading "/data/wies/WIES/data/adapt4A-R.cas"... .................................................. ................................

5837045 hexahedral cells, zone 2, binary. 3569061 mixed cells, zone 24, binary. 418140 mixed cells, zone 15, binary. 688835 hexahedral cells, zone 13, binary. Too many children cells for parent cell 9438403 (8685272). 32296 cell child pointers, parent zone 15, child zone 24, binary.

The case file has not been modified manually what so ever.

The number of nodes for the simulations has been varied from 3 to 6 on a parallel machine. And the application of a double precision solver (as recommended by FLUENT helpdesk) has been tried out, but without success.

Hope someone can help me,

Regards
