AMG Solver

I am studying on a 3D jet in crossflow. after some iteration I have got the "Divergence detected in AMG Solver:TEMPERATURE" and then the iteration stop.

Do you know why it could be?

Re: AMG Solver

Try reducing the under relaxation factor for energy in the solution control panel and run the iteration.

Re: AMG Solver

AMG solver divergence is detected due to the following reasons:

1.> If u are making use of UDM's in UDF and not allocated memory for the problem setup then u will land up with this error message

2.> Due to the underelaxation parameter beign too stringent as some one earlier pointed out

3.>It also comes up if u have closure terms not properly formulated. what momentum interaction terms are you using?

I hope this atleat provides some info. to start with.

hi aother reason for AMG is for high Dense messing and also increase the temperature limits in define operating condition

AMG Solver

Hello all,

I am working on 3D, ROTATING/ SWIRL flow inside the pipe problem. Flow is compressible and turbulent. I started with Segregated and Implicit solver with under-relaxation factor for energy equation equal to 1. I am using RSM as a turbulence model.

But after some iteration I have got the "Divergence detected in AMG Solver:TEMPERATURE" and then the iteration stop.

Please help.

Thanks in advance,

best wishes,

Sachin Nimbalkar
