third-body efficiency

hi,I need to specify the third-body efficiency of the species in the reaction.I have got some of the values from the literature,but there are still many values unknown for the literature doesn't give the specified value.The default value in the fluent is set to 1.I am wondering if I need to change that value.Any reply will be highly appreciated.

Hi San,
I am modelling 3-body reactions in FLUENT and I have the same question as you.
If we do not know the third body efficiency, is the default value of 1 ok? Have you found out the answer to your question? If yes, please kindly advise me. Thank you very much.

finally i ignore the third body efficiency,and i think the default value of 1 is fine for the simulation.

Do you know how to write a three-body reaction in CHEMKIN mechanism format? How do I incorporate the low and high pressure limits?

I think the user's guide of Fluent may help you with that.

Hi help wanted in combustion simulation by fluent

I have a reaction mechanism includes third body value for argon (Ar). The question is should I include argon in the species of the fuel or the oxidizer or there is no need for that and should I include a mass fraction in the boundary condition for argon.
