Creating a mesh of the flow field in GAMBIT

Hi, I've imported a solid model created in ProE into GAMBIT and I want to mesh the flow field inside and around the model. The model actually goes into a tube. So I creatd a cylinder in GAMBIT and then put the model into it. My idea is to subtract the volume of the solid from the volume of the cylinder to get the flow domain. I tried to do this on the same lines as that of the car model given in the GAMBIT tutorial. But somehow this does not work.

Both the solid and the cylinder are supposed to be real volumes. Is there any other way I can get the flow domain meshed?

Thanks Vidya
