Default Convergence problems for 2D model

I have two fluids that flow in turbulent counter-flow through rectangular chanels and they are separated by an steel plate. I made the model in Gambit (2D) and I defined the sourfaces between the two fluids and plate like interface. I coupled in Fluent the two pairs of interfaces. The iteration begins without warnings or errors, but the convergence is still far, even after few thousand iterations, especialy for continuity (is about 0.5!!!)! Where is my fault? Thank you!
