I'm using k-epsilon for compressible flow. I can only find the k-epsilon equations for incompressible flow in the fluent manual. Does anyone know where to find the compressible equations (favre average)? Thanks

Craig

i think the fluent manual mentions the compressiblity correction for compressible flow. if you look at the transport equations you will find this factor there.

I've read the fluent manual to death. I can't find these compressible factors you talk about. Do you know where in the manual they are?

Quote from fluent (6.2) manual chapter 11.4.1:

(in the transport euqation for k) "YM represents the contribution of the fluctuating dilatation in compressible turbulence to the overall dissipation rate"

Hey Guys,

for those who aren´t using Fluent: Where can I find the k-epsilon model equations for Compressible Flows?

I have checked Wilcox´s Turbulence Modeling, but he only gives the k-omega model equations...
(Probably because its his baby )
