please brief out

1) the general differences between the FVM, FDM, FEM methods.

2) what are the diffrent schemes for dissipative and dispersive.

Sincere Thanks and Regards

the second question, i image the answer is: dissipative mean consumptive, that is to say, the value of property will be less and less with time, so it will be likely to convergce . dispersive mean nondirectional, the value of property will disperse in all directions, such as both forward and backward in a flow. there are two diffent focus.

FDM-differentiation,easy to perform ,no need to select polynomial function, errorous when moving to nonlinear eqn.

FEM-formulation is difficult, converged, errors will minimize if we go to higer order formulations.

FVM:just like FEM but possible only for simple CV
